Meet the Team
Meet our team of stars. We are a group of six Event Management students at Algonquin College.
Our strengths come from our diverse educational backgrounds in Business, communications, sociology, human resources and marketing. All while sharing a passion for putting on events in our community.
Erin Higgins
With a BA in Honours Philosophy from Carleton University, Erin has spent time learning why we do things and what drives our decisions between right and wrong, pleasures and pains. The event industry creates experiences that are different from our everyday routine. Events bring all walk of life together for a common reason no matter how extraordinary the event. The Event Management program at Algonquin College provides Erin the opportunity to grow her knowledge on planning these unique events. Erin's goal after graduating is to break into corporate events industry by creating her own company. Erin's passion in organization, personal growth, marketing and building new relationships makes her an asset to the corporate events industry.
Ben Scholte
Ben Scholte is a graduate of the Business Management & Entrepreneurship program at Algonquin College. He's studying Event Management because he is passionate about bringing people together to create memorable experiences. Ben is building a company that creates events that are tailored to a wide variety of themes.

Chloe Park
Hello there! I am a hard worker with a can-do attitude! I’m at my best when working alongside a team who are motivated to achieve the same goal. With experience in hospitality, retail, and administration, I found my passion for events through my involvement within my community and volunteering. I love being a part of the organization, strategic planning and execution of an event that brings people together. With an undergraduate degree in Communications, I am eager to pair my knowledge of media, marketing and communications with an Event Management certificate. My goal after this program is to secure a job within tourism and festivals, with hopes to obtain a career in global government events in the future!
Bianca Charron
Bianca is currently an Event Assistant Intern at uOttawa's Faculty of Medicine, Office of Continuing Professional Development. Bianca is an Event Coordinating professional with experience executing and planning corporate events in the medical and tech industry, as well as coordinating special events and conferences. She has a Diploma in Fashion Marketing from LaSalle College in Montréal, QC and is now completing her Certificate in Event Management At Algonquin College, in Ottawa, ON. Her expertise includes logistics, providing excellent customer service, and creating collaborative partnerships. She believes that the magic lies in the details.
Angad Singh
Angad is currently a graduate student of the Event Management program at Algonquin College. Prior to enrolling in the Event Management program, Angad was a student of the Sports Business Management program at Algonquin College. He hails from new delhi, india. Angad has an immense passion for sports and his goal is to plan and execute major sporting events around the world.

Iman Abdelgadir
Iman is currently an Intern with the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation as an Event Coordinator. Iman is also an Event Management student at Algonquin College, completing her master's degree in International Human Resource Management and has a bachelor's in Business Administration. Being an international student allows her to explore different cultures and backgrounds.  Iman is passionate about international experience and her goal is to be involved with an international non-profit organization.
